Here you can relax and enjoy the garden and the rest of the day is free for you to relax.  Tip: if you’re feeling adventurous, do try the Maté de Coca or coca-leaf tea as it is said to help you acclimatise to the altitude, it is not entirely unpleasant and tastes a little like green tea! The active ingredient from the coca leaf is also present in the popular Peruvian soft drink, Inka Cola. Meals: Breakfast

Day 3: Arequipa free day

Now is a good time to rest and take a breath for a further day in the beautiful ‘White City’. A little time to acclimatise to altitude is useful, before you head off to the high Altiplano.
